Sorry this hadn't worked out as members envisioned. This was NOT a SMART event. This was originally posted on the Message Board just as a "something to do". An Asst. Organizer, asked if it could be put on the calendar. Answered "sure, why not". Again, apologies to anyone who thought otherwise and/or did not enjoy their day. Jenifer (Steve's wife)

I had a space on the street across from the diner (got there early). I saw a couple of SMART's drive by, but no one stopped. I did meet a couple in a yellow/black Smart who just happened to be there (nice people .. told them about the web site). Anyway, there were some great cars there and Claremont looks like a nice place to hang out. Everyone loved the car as usual and I met a lot of really nice car people. But, for a SMART event, the meet didn't work, at least not for me. Next time!

Wow!! Wish we had known others were coming, we would have set up a meeting time/place. No one RSVP'd.....always a next time!

I was at the Village grill. Asked the Grill people if any one was a Smartie but could not find anyone. Had a good time looking at all the cars. Saw a yellow Smart and a white Smart parked. Left a note on a Yellow Smart.

Who attended?

    •  Good idea, lots of nice classic cars, but we didn't have a definite meeting spot. It was difficult to park on the street unless you arrived very early.
    •  There were only two Smarts. Ours which we acquired yesterday and one other. It would have been nice if more Smarts came out as the car drew a lot of attention. There were many people, the restaurants were full, and there were a lot of nostaligia rides on display.

We saw about 4 other SMART cars zipping around (not sure if they were members or not). We met up with a couple of members at Danson's and enjoyed good food....good drink....and of course, talking about SMART!!
    •  I was there at the Village Grille between 5:30 and 6:15 but had no way to identify any other smart owners. Had a bowl of so-so chili and a Coke, looked at a lot of cars there on Cruise Night and managed to put just a little over 100 miles on my smart. Interesting time other than not finding any folk with smarts.

I went down. Saw a yellow smart and a white Smart. Left a note on the yellow Smart. Visited the V/Grill but could not find anyone.
